The Blue Pig Company, was set up by Andrew and Anthony Bradley who up until 2000 were running a dairy herd and sheep flock on two farms at Long Preston.
The onset of Foot and Mouth Disease saw both brothers develop a dry-stone walling business, which keeps them busy to this day.
However while on a job one day in the summer of 2004 they came across some Gloucester Old Spot piglets for sale - six of which they took home.It quickly became obvious there was a market for rare breed free range pork and Andrew’s partner Gill set about marketing it.Today they can be found at farmers markets at Skipton-1st sunday of the month, Settle-2nd sunday and Pately Bridge-4th sunday as well as many local shows and trade fairs.
As well as breeding and rearing all our own pigs the Blue Pig Company has now completed a cold room and food preperation area allowing us to produce all our sausages, bacon and ham on farm, greatly reducing food miles. This is also allowing us to produce more specialist products such as pancetta and choritzo sausages. We are looking to start making smoked products later this year.

I highly recommend The Blue Pig Company products. My personal favourites are the sausages.
